Canvas Integration User Guide
This guide article will be walking you through how to set up Rules in the Assure software using your Canvas LMS environment. You can also watch our video tutorial on how to do this.
Navigate to the course that you would like to set up a Rule for.
Click the Saasyan Assure app in the course menu on the left.
Adjust the following settings depending on your classes schedule 
Action: Allow or Block
Audience: Class or User
The User option allows you to create rules for a specific user instead of the entire class
Start Time and End Time
Recurrence
Rule Scope:
Application - web applications
Web Categories
Specific URL - A YouTube video for example
Block - This option is only present for the Block action
Click on the Save button and the rule will appear at the top of the page.Note: Created rules can be seen by other teachers with access to that course.
Accessing Classroom View in Canvas
Once the Assure interface loads click on the Classroom View tab
In this view teachers can see real-time activity for the last 15 minutes of the students enrolled in their class.
To refresh the view for up-to-date activity simply click the wheel icon located in the top of the tab. The period you are currently viewing will refresh and the most recent 15-minute period will be listed in the tab.
If you wish to investigate further, select the student’s name and you will be redirected to their User Report in the Assure application.
Accessing Offline Users View in Canvas
Once the Assure interface loads click on the Offline Users tab
This will list all students in the class who are currently not visible to Assure.
Clicking on the student's name will generate a user report, which will open in a new tab for further investigation.
